Hi readers.. I know it has been ages but Kin has specifically told me to write about our trip to singapore..and i didn't really mind.. singapore was a blast!

So, we started the journey on Thursday morning..Everybody woke up late, so we were only on the road by 8.30 (We planned to start by 8). We drove to J.B, and left the car at our mom's cousin's house. We had lunch in J.B. He, then drove us to Larkin terminal, where we got on a bus to Singapore. We were really huffin and puffin coz we had to get off the bus twice to go through immigration, but it was all in fun.

In Singapore, we took a bus to the Kranji MRT station, where daddy's friend Uncle Zoi came to pick us up. We went to City Hall to buy some tourist tickets for the MRT and buses. It was straight to Bedok Villa after that, Uncle Zoi's house. Since it was the school holidays, his kids were stayin in J.B at a relative's house so it was just us, Uncle Zoi and his wife, Aunty Ayu, stayin at the house.

He took us to dinner and we walked around Bedok that night.

The next day, the real fun started. We went to Universal Studios Singapore on Sentosa Island. It was soo much fun since we were theme-park-deprived for a few years. The last one we went to was Six Flags New England in the U.S. As soon as we stepped into the park we started taking pictures. There was so many things to look at. Mom and Dad went to redeem some coupons. We each got $5 for a meal and $5 for retail. We started the journey in Holywoodland.
with the cast of Live Rock Musical
We were really excited and just started gaping at everything. After Holywoodland, it was New York city. Then we reached Sci-fi Land. That was where we went on our first ride. The accelerator. it was basically the cups ride that they have in Genting Highland but the cups were big yellow sci-fi spaceship thingies. Anyway, we all went on that ride.
After that we moved on to The Mummy Land. We went on the most scary ride there. It was a rollercoaster but it was indoors and it was very dark. It went forward and backwards and it would just suddenly stop and Imhotep would come out and scare us. He wasn't very nice looking too. All dead and green. Anyway, they took pictures of us on the rollercoaster and we looked at them after we got off. It was hilarious. We looked really stupid with our eyes closed and our mouths opened. Kin looked like she wanted to cry. We didnt buy it though. Since we got one similar one from Thorpe Park.
they didn't look very happy

After that, it was The Lost World. We went on a water ride there. They already warned us that we were gonna get soaked but we didn't really care. It was a hot day so we thought it was nice to get a bit wet. The adult ponchos were all sold out. We also had to wait 80 mins to get on the ride. Ayah was so sleepy and almost fell asleep when we were in line. There was also one guy who also kept pushing us from the back. He was also riding alone but he didn't understand when the attendants were calling for single riders. The idiot. He could have gotten on the ride a whole lot earlier. Instead he was just there making our lives miserable. In front of us, however was a dad with a son and a daughter. They were so cute. The dad wrapped up his children with ponchos and made sure that no parts of their clothes were going to be exposed to water. The daughter also had her own pink poncho. After a long wait, we got on the ride with another family riding on the same boat. It was really great. At the end there was a drop and we sure did scream. (Okay maybe i screamed)
After that it was our favorite part of the park, Far-Away Land. Everything there was cute. Our first stop was a restaurant was Goldilocks. They had delicious burgers.

We went on one of our favorite rides - Shrek 4D. It was really funny. It was actually a simulation. We sat in a theater and they put on a clip and there was special effects like when donkey sneezed there was a nozzle behind the seats in front of us that sprayed us with water. Ayah really liked that one.
We also went on a junior roller coaster in Far-Away Land. Well, they said it was a junior rollercoaster, but it was pretty fast. Kin said they tried to scam us into riding it, saying it was a junior rollercoaster. All I'm saying is, grandmas shouldn't be on that rollercoaster.
the junior coaster
Next stop, Madagascar. We didn't really went on anything there. if im not mistaken, there was only a carousel there. So, we just went into the gift shop and took some pics.
We waited for the next show of Live Rock Musical and we went for that. Ayah fell asleep in it. I didn't blame him. the day was hot, and the auditorium was soo comfortably cool.
Then, we went back to The Mummy place bcoz mom wanted to go on another ride there.
They stopped us right in front of this thing, and Kin screamed. haha.
Because all the rides were closing, we surrendered and went one last time into the gift shops and took our last pictures.

After taking the bus, we stopped somewhere and planned to meet up with Uncle Zoi because he wanted to take us to Mustaffa. Shopping!
After having so much fun shopping, Uncle Zoi took us sightseeing around Singapore. First, we went to IMM to go to Daiso and Qmar found a store selling her Korean stuff. We also found a Cotton On store that was on sale, and it was really on SALE! Me and Kin had so much fun. After that, we went to see the merlion and we went around Marina Bay.
We were very fortunate because when we were at the merlion, there was a rehearsal for the Singapore's National Day Parade, or as ayah said, they were just celebrating us being there. So there was a few fighter jets, some choppers and two fireworks.

That was a really tiring day but Uncle Zoi made us happy once again because at the end of the day, he took us to a store called This Fashion. Daddy wasn't very happy though.
The next day, we went home. But before that, we went for a walk around Bedok.
Seriously, the library there is so awesome. If we live there, our budget for books would be cut down by half. So many books.
All in all, we really had fun. Thanks to Uncle Zoi and Aunty Ayu for your generous hospitality. We really appreciate it. Thanks to daddy for driving all of us down there and buying tickets to the Universal Studios.
Love,
Tyqa
